Shweiki is excited to announce that are serving as a sponsor of the 2014 Texas Tribune Festival and printing materials for the event.
The festival–a three-day event taking place September 19-21 on the campus of the University of Texas–is put on by the Texas Tribune, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public media organization whose mission is to promote civic engagement and discourse on public policy, politics, government and other matters of statewide interest.
The fest features three days of debate and discussion, with a lineup consisting of the most influential names in the world of politics and public policy. Over 200 speakers are on the agenda, and program highlights include discussions with notable names like Wendy Davis, Rick Perry, Ted Cruz, George W. Bush and more.
In addition to the nine keynote sessions, the 2014 Texas Tribune Festival will feature nine tracks of programming addressing the following topics: public education, higher education, immigration, transportation, criminal justice, energy, the environment, health care and – for the first time – open government.
In its first four years of operation, the Tribune has won a slew of awards, including 11 Edward R. Murrow awards, a Knight-Batten award for innovation in journalism, a Gannett Award for innovation in watchdog journalism, and two general excellence awards from the Online News Association. Shweiki is proud to team up with the Texas Tribune and provide the excellent organization with high-quality, hassle-free printing.
