Shweiki is excited to announce that they are serving as the print sponsor for Electrify Your Strings in Boerne and printing all flyers, programs and posters for the event, while Patrick Klar of Dante Klar Media Group is contributing design services.
Electrify Your Strings (EYS) is an exciting music education program–created by international recording artist, electric violist and music education advocate, Mark Wood–that seeks to invigorate students, teachers and the community in general by providing school music programs with much-needed funding and an all-important jolt of energy.
The premise of Electrify Your Strings is simple: Juilliard-trained violinist and Emmy-winning composer Mark Wood travels to more than 60 schools each year in an effort to revitalize their music education programs through a two-day orchestra overhaul culminating in a phenomenal live performance. The result–an unforgettable experience for students, teachers and everyone involved–awakens and revitalizes young musicians while raising money for participating schools’ music programs. In 12 years, Mark has raised over two million dollars for music education and has impacted the lives of more than 125,000 students and aspiring musicians.
On December 3rd at 7 p.m., Wood will bring EYS to Boerne in the form of a performance at Champion High School Auditorium (201 Charger Blvd.) featuring Boerne ISD orchestra students from Cibolo Creek, Currington, Fabra, Fair Oaks Ranch and Kendall Elementary Schools, Boerne Middle School North and South, Boerne and Champion High Schools. This performance–one of many on Wood’s Velocity Tour–will feature holiday tunes such as “O Holy Night,” “Hark The Harold Angels Sing” and “Silent Night,” along with original songs by Wood himself. Tickets–the proceeds of which will directly benefit BISD orchestra programs–are $10 and can be purchased at Boerneorchestra.com.
Electrify Your Strings is an excellent program benefiting an excellent cause, and Shweiki is happy to assist Wood with his music education mission by contributing their trademark high-quality, hassle-free printing services to the Boerne event.
