Shweiki Media Printing Company is pleased to announce its membership to local nonprofit, Austin Gives. Austin Gives is a community program dedicated to spotlighting business philanthropy in the Austin area by recognizing businesses that donate 1% or more of pretax earnings to annual giving.
Austin Gives encourages business owners to sign the Austin Gives pledge and serve as examples of generosity in the Austin business community. By joining Austin Gives, members receive year-round recognition through traditional and social media, e-newsletter mentions, website listings and more. In addition, all Austin Gives members are eligible to be honored at the Austin Gives GeneroCity Awards, where three businesses (one large, one small and one medium-sized company) are rewarded for their outstanding philanthropic efforts. As a member of Austin Gives, Shweiki Media Printing Company is now eligible for an award. This recognition serves as both an effort to honor generosity and increase charitable contributions made to the Austin community by local businesses.

Shweiki has long been dedicated to giving back to the community–particularly in the areas of animal welfare and children’s education–and the printer and publisher is excited to be acknowledged and to continue donating to the Austin community for years to come.

Austin Gives is the result of a collaborative effort amongst the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas, United Way for Greater Austin, Austin Community Foundation and I Live Here I Give Here. All businesses that commit to giving 1% or more of pre-tax earnings to local charities, regardless of company size, are invited to join Austin Gives at no charge. Austin Gives then recognizes the generosity of its members’ philanthropic efforts at the organization’s annual award ceremony and through traditional and social media throughout the year.
